Studies the generator floor in the main underground powerhouse of a water energy storage power station with roof air supply by a thermal modeling test. Analyses the temperature field and velocity field under various air distributions with the operation of one to three generators, respectively. Suggests reducing the number of control valves in the air supply branches. When the generators operate in part loadthe control of air handling units should be optimized based on the layout of generators.
